Slackers Swim Meet
June 29 @ 9:15 am - 12:00 pm
Plan to arrive at 9:15, ready for warm ups at 9:30, and the meet will start 10.
3-6 will swim first. They only swim once.
The rest of the meet will consist of race heats for each stroke starting with elementary and moving up to high school, then relays, followed by race heats for the next stroke. There are a total of four strokes.
-The meet usually lasts about 2-3 hours, depending on how fast swimmers swim.
-Feel free to bring canopy tents and or folding chairs, because sometimes seating is limited.
-Don’t forget water and snacks, kids love snacks. Who am I kidding? Everyone loves snacks.
-The earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find parking.
—— We need extra hands to help with set up including moving chairs and tables, setting up lane ropes, setting up sound system, scheduling timers, filling swimmer times on ribbons, etc. If you are available, please help.
We will need volunteers for timers.
We will also need parents to help record the times on ribbons after the meet.
These things are easier when more people help. The coaches already do so much for the kids, please help lighten their load so they can focus on the swimmers.
