I’m a teacher and administrator at Veritas Classical Schools, and I recently retired after 33 years in the Air National Guard. I enlisted in 1990 as a Ground Radio Maintenance Technician and culminated my career as Director of Public Affairs for the Tennessee National Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Along the way I deployed to Iraq in 2004 leading Engineering Installations forces, served as Detachment Commander of the 241st through Hurricane Katrina response and multiple Middle East deployments, deployed again to Qatar in 2016, and spent five years as Wing Executive Officer for the 118th Wing. Before going full-time with the Guard, I taught Hamilton County students from 1997 to 2004 in Biology, AP Biology, Leadership, Life Science, and Technical Theater. I’m now back to teaching, this time in a classical school setting.

My wife Heather and I have three children — Ella, Max, and Brynn.

My wife Carrie and I have lived in Hidden Harbor for nearly five years, with our three kids Owen (16), Alana (14), and Iris (7).

I have a Ph.D. in Genetics and work remotely as a Senior Medical Director.

During my last term as VP, the board increased our reserves substantially, upgraded the parks, built the pickleball courts, and helped stop a proposed apartment complex on the ridge. I’m a family man at heart and care about preserving the atmosphere on the ridge that we love.

My wife Amanda, our daughters Abigail and Matti, our lab Blossom, and I have lived in Hidden Harbor for six years.

I work as an engineer for a large healthcare insurer. Over 19 years in technology roles, I’ve handled my share of complex problems. I have an Associate’s in Technology from Chattanooga State, a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Bryan College, and various IT certifications.

Outside of work, my family enjoys home improvement, all things automotive, volunteering at our local church, and supporting various local charities.

My wife Michelle and I, along with our two kids Sawyer (10) and Charlie (6), moved to Hidden Harbor a little under three years ago from the Chicagoland area. We’ve loved being part of this community.

We own Cultivating Digital, a web design and digital marketing firm. When I saw Hidden Harbor had a website, I reached out to help — optimizing the site, integrating online payments, and building the new check-in system at the pool.

Kyle Blevins — Director

I grew up roaming Hidden Harbor as a kid, with relatives in the neighborhood right up until my own family bought on Sea Gull Lane in January 2021.

The amenities are part of what makes this place great, but the people are what made it feel like home for me as a kid. Now I do the same with my own boys — fishing at the dock, playing sports at the field and playgrounds, biking the trails, hosting parties at the pavilion, and playing pickleball with friends.

I bring 15+ years of progressive experience in service, leadership, and strategic resource management. My wife Victoria and I have been married 15 years, and our sons Elijah (12), Oliver (7), and Isaac (5) drive our desire to live here. Our world changed with the beginning of an Autism story a few years back, and I’m ready to keep serving and connecting with neighbors.

Wes DeShazo — Director

My wife and our two sons (ages 7 and 2) and I have lived in Hidden Harbor for eight years.

I have a degree in Construction Management from Chattanooga State, plus continued education with Construction Engineering courses at UTC. I work with my family’s businesses — M & M Construction, McNabb Rentals, and Stoneworx — building new homes, remodeling existing ones, installing pools, and designing landscaping projects.

After 20+ years of hands-on construction experience, I bring practical knowledge to neighborhood upgrades, maintenance decisions, and improvement projects.

My wife Tina and I moved to Hidden Harbor four years ago after I retired and we left Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We looked at several cities before falling in love with Hixson and the beauty of this area, and we bought and remodeled the house at 6410 Brian Lane.

I worked in manufacturing for 32 years as Supervisor of Production Control at Sunbeam Oster and Cooper Power Systems. I then spent 14 years as Maintenance Supervisor for fourteen cafeterias, overseeing equipment installation, upkeep, and repair. Across both roles, I managed multi-million-dollar budgets.

Tina and I have four married daughters and three grandchildren. My hobbies include lawn and garden work, fishing, household projects, traveling, and spoiling my grandkids.
